How do bloggers make money: -If you have been following this blog for some time, you have probably advised me blogging as a way to work from home for yourself. Granted, this is not a fast way to earn money how do bloggers make money. But once you establish your online presence, there is a very high probability of earning income with your blog.
When people ask me what I do from home and I tell them that I am a blogger, the next question that follows is almost always, “How does a blogger make money?” Most people I know do not exist profitable blogs!
Doing my taxes last year was a bit annoying because the CPA I used never paid taxes for someone whose job title was “Blogger”, so I had to explain a lot there.
If you do not have an online blog yet, please see my post about starting a blog to set up.

When people ask me this, I usually give them a short answer – advertisers. And while it is certainly a big part of it, it is not the only way to earn money with a blog.how do bloggers make money.
So today I am breaking down the primary way for your bloggers to earn income from home if you are one of those people who did not know that blogs can make you money.
# 1. Advertising Network
Advertising networks are often the main earners for many bloggers and are certainly the easiest to maintain as it is possible to “set it and forget it” once in place.
Bloggers sign up with popular ad networks such as Google Adsense or Media.net and place code inside sidebars, headers, footers or posts that will display third-party ads.
These usually pay bloggers a certain amount per thousand impressions or per click.
# 2. Direct Advertising
Bloggers often sell advertising directly or in addition using ad networks. This means that the blogger is in direct contact with specific advertisers and will be able to negotiate rates and accept or reject advertisers based on whether they want to advertise to promote the advertiser.
With ad networks, bloggers do not have that much control over these things, so many bloggers prefer direct advertising due to the amount of control they have.
# 3. Partner
This is another form of advertising, but instead of a flat rate or a fixed amount per click or impression with advertisers, the blogger is paid for a certain amount per lead or sale they are promoting.
For example, I have been signed up as an affiliate for the ultimate bundles (as many bloggers are) because they have much blogging and work in home-related bundles that will appeal to my readers. Whenever I link to any of their offers on this blog, I can earn a commission and they can use an affiliate link that is unique to that offer.
Then, if a reader clicks through the link and buys or signs for what I have recommended, I will earn a certain amount per lead or sale! how do bloggers make money?
As a blogger, you have complete control over the products and services you want to promote as an affiliate, so it is possible to recommend only those things that you approve of.
The Sensing of Affiliate Marketing is a great score that I suggest if you want to know more about it. This course helped me increase my income by about $ 2,000 from what I usually earn in a month.
# 4. Selling Your Own Products and Services
A blog is an excellent platform to sell your goods. I know many bloggers who provide services such as coaching, graphic design, virtual assisting and writing. Bloggers can also sell products like e-books that they have written or crafts they have created.
For example, I promote and sell my work in a home e-book on this blog. When I don’t earn a ton, it’s usually $ 100 or more per month in addition to my blog’s earnings.
Another idea – if you are involved in any direct sales opportunities (eg: Stella & Dot or similar), you can use your blog as a platform to promote those items and / or build your downline can do.
# 5. Sponsored Posts
I don’t do a lot of these, but many bloggers make money by writing paid posts by advertisers to promote products and services from various companies. Most bloggers charge hundreds of dollars for this because it is a form of permanent advertising for companies.
However, sponsored posts must be sponsored, so the reader understands that when they see the post that was paid by the company.
Most bloggers do not do this for any advertiser only and are very selective as it reflects badly on them which is not meant to help promote a company.
Linqia is an example of a site that you can use to find these sponsored opportunities.
#6. Digital Products
Digital products come in all types of formats – e-books, workbooks, online courses, printables, membership sites, and more.
Just as anyone can create a blog, so can anyone create a digital product. But it takes a lot of skill to actually get it in front of the right people and sell it.
However, if successfully done, creating and selling digital products can be a highly attractive revenue stream.how do bloggers make money.
Take, for example, Suzy Whitford of the Start Mom blog. Suzy produces and sells e-books and online courses, and regularly earns $ 30,000 a month from her blog.
If you have a lot of knowledge in a particular area, this can be a good revenue stream for you.
As a new blogger, providing services is probably the fastest way to make money, and there are many options to choose from.
If you are tech-savvy, you can start taking freelance web development clients. Do you like to write? A lot of sites will pay you for this.
I made my first $ 1,000 + through my site experimenting with various service offerings. First, I took a $ 10 web development course and started applying for small jobs at Upwork.
Then I used the content on my blog to showcase my writing and started pitching to freelance writing clients.
And, finally, I decided to use my skills and personal finance background as a financial coach.
Some of the most common services Blogger offers are: how do bloggers make money.
- Free writing
- Virtual assisting
- Social media management
- Facebook advertising
- Web Design
- Public speaking
However, there is no limit to the online offers you actually make. To determine your ideal service offering, list what you are doing well, what is good, and / or what experience you have. Then find out if there is a market of people who are willing to pay for your craft.
Chances are, the answer is yes.
Or, if you want to break into a certain area, but you are not sure where to start, you can consider taking a course.
There are courses for almost any service you can imagine, such as one on freelance writing, this one on starting a virtual assistant business, or running Facebook ads for clients.
Online courses can be a great way to fill your knowledge/skills gap and help you make money with your blog even faster.
#8. Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate Marketing: Earn a commission by promoting other company’s (or people’s) products.
This is our favorite way we make money with our blog, and one of the most passive blog monetization methods. There are three main ways to approach affiliate marketing: use affiliate networks, sign up for private affiliate programs, and promote products on the shopping site.
Affiliate networks are sites that host affiliate events for many different companies. These networks are super convenient for bloggers because instead of signing up with a million different programs, you create an account with some affiliate network and have access to hundreds or even thousands of products and services. Which you can promote.
Some of our favorite affiliate networks include FlexOffers, ShareASale and CJ.com.
For private affiliate programs, you sign up directly with the person or company you want to promote. For example, our email service provider does not exist on the associated network. Instead, we personally applied for their affiliate program (because we love and want to support them), and work directly with the company’s support team.how do bloggers make money.
And last but not least, there are affiliate shopping sites. Suppose you start a blog about camping where you write reviews on different types of camping gear and products. Amazon Associates can be a big moneymaker for your blog.
Our main website, DollarSprout.com, is an example of a blog-style site that makes the most of its revenue through affiliate marketing.
How to start earning money as a New Blogger
There is no right way to go about monetizing your new blog. However, some methods are better (ie faster) than others.
For new bloggers, the fastest way to make some extra money with your site is to offer services and find customers. Once you get some clients, you can start making affiliate revenue on your blog.
From there, you can choose any direction you like – sponsored content, raising prices for your services, creating digital courses and more.

How do bloggers earn money?
As it is anything, different companies pay in different ways – usually direct deposit, PayPal or mail check. However, one thing that does not vary much is the frequency of pay.
The vast majority of companies use bloggers to pay income once a month – either at the end of the month, the middle, or the very beginning of the month simply depending on their terms.
Do you need more help learning a blog, or developing an existing blog?
If so, I would recommend checking out these two (free) webinars hosted by Ruth Soukup and Bob Lautich – two bloggers whom I respect very much. I have learned a lot from both of them.
Ruth created the Elite Blog Academy – a course that made it possible to more than double my blog’s income. Bob Lothich wrote two of the best e-books on blogging I’ve read. If you search for his name, you can easily find him on Amazon.
